Service Description

Notice: We are currently not accepting surrenders, as our rescue is at capacity. Please check back with us soon for updates. At Zoology, we understand that circumstances may arise where you can no longer care for your exotic pet. Our Animal Surrender Service is designed to provide a compassionate, safe, and responsible option for those needing to rehome reptiles, amphibians, or insects. Whether it’s due to personal challenges, changes in your living situation, or other unforeseen circumstances, we are here to help ensure your pet is cared for in a loving environment. What We Accept: We primarily focus on reptiles, amphibians, and insects. If you are considering surrendering another type of exotic animal, please reach out to discuss your situation, and we’ll do our best to assist or provide alternative recommendations. Our Surrender Process: Contact Us – Before bringing your pet to our facility, please fill out our online contact form. Provide us with any information that will help us understand your pet’s needs and current condition. You can also contact us via phone or email for further guidance. Health Assessment – Once we can accept your pet, our experienced staff will conduct a thorough health assessment to ensure the animal is healthy and to address any potential care needs. If the animal is beyond the experience of our staff then we will have one of our veterinarian partners perform the assessment. Rehoming – Our goal is to find the best possible home for every surrendered animal. While some may stay with us permanently, others will be rehomed to responsible individuals or organizations that meet our high standards of care. Why Choose Zoology? Expert Care: With a team of dedicated staff, we specialize in the care of reptiles, amphibians, and insects, ensuring your pet receives the best attention and treatment. Compassionate Approach: We know that surrendering a pet can be a difficult decision, and we are committed to making the process as smooth and supportive as possible. Thank you for considering us as a safe haven for your beloved pet.
